Home page - Dashboard

The Dashboard serves as the default home page. To access it, tap on Dashboard in your app or click on DASHBOARD after logging into your account. 

It comprises five tabs: New Jobs, Direct Award, Bidding, Confirmed, and Ongoing Jobs, with each tab playing a crucial role.

New Jobs

Service Universe's algorithm meticulously screens all new service requests and notifies you whenever service requests matching your interests become available. These matching requests will appear in your dashboard while they are open for Bidding. You may also receive email notifications for certain new jobs, especially when customers request quick bids or for jobs with tight deadlines.

Direct Award

In some cases, customers might choose from a pool of qualified providers and assign a job directly to you without going through the bidding process. This option is particularly beneficial for recurring service requests or when customers have a preferred provider.

However, it's important to note that even for Direct Awards, providers are still required to submit price bids. This process helps ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process, even when customers have already identified a preferred provider for the job.

Bidding

In this tab, providers will be able to see all pending and accepted bids.

Providers review the posted jobs and decide which ones they are interested in completing. They then submit their bids, which include the price they are willing to accept for completing the job. Check out the Bidding section for more info.

Confirmed Jobs

Your bid has won and you've accepted the job. Such requests can be found in the Confirmed jobs tab. Please refer to the Appointment Calendar and Get it done sections for more information about the next steps.

Ongoing Jobs

Ongoing jobs are service requests that are currently in progress or active. Only one service request can be ongoing at a time. Please refer to the Get it Done sections for more information.

FAQ & Tips

Do I get notified of the status changes?

Yes, that's correct! Service Universe will keep you informed about new service requests, pending bids, and the status of assigned jobs from day one. We'll also notify you of any changes to your account via email or text messaging. Learn more in Notifications & Chat.

How can I verify the status of my bid?

Pro-tip: Tracking the status of your bids is easy. Simply open your mobile app and tap on Dashboard, or click on DASHBOARD when you log in to serviceuniverse.ca, then open the Bidding tab. Additionally, you'll receive important bidding updates via email or text messaging.

Can I change or cancel my submitted bid?

All submitted bids are final. However, providers still have the option to reject requests even if their bid, submitted in error, was initially accepted by the customer.
